Brief History of William Christopher Ritter

When William Christopher Ritter Sr was born on 19 February 1824, in Marion, Alabama, his father, Isaac Anderson D Ritter, was 27 and his mother, Phebe Douglas Young, was 24. He married Sarah Ann Lowery on 17 March 1845, in Monroe, Mississippi. They were the parents of at least 1 son and 3 daughters. He registered for military service in 1855. He died in January 1875, in Big Cottonwood Canyon, Salt Lake, Utah, at the age of 50, and was buried in Miners Cemetery, Silver Fork, Salt Lake, Utah. (source: FamilySearch.org)
