Brief Life History of James Harmon

When James Harman was born on 29 September 1801, in Lincoln, Kentucky, his father, Stephen A Harmon, was 22 and his mother, Nancy Lucinda Joslin, was 22. He married Mary Ann Blanks Smithson in 1828, in Pendleton, Anderson, South Carolina. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 4 daughters. He died on 14 September 1851, in Auburn, Placer, California, at the age of 49, and was buried in Old Auburn Cemetery, Auburn, Placer, California.
